Vicktoriusse 2002 * 2007 in the honour of Jean-Michel Defalque2016

The instrument Vicktoriusse was designed by Karolina J. Wozniak in 2001 in Zakopane Poland. The prototype was built a year after in 2002 and the final version of the instrument was made in 2007 in Poznan Poland. The not symmetrical shape reminds a letter S and the traditional scroll is replaced with unique head that makes the whole construction visually lighter. The main dimensions correspond with traditional classical violin but the body of the instrument is not symmetrical. Top plate is made from the spruce. Bottom plate, ribs and the neck are made from sycamore. The whole design is fulfilled by the not symmetrically situated unusual 'ef' holes and grooving on the bottom and top plates coming out from two corners. The sound is bright and crystal clear with the soft addition of velvet. The instrument is tuned in perfect fifths and this argument supports the thesis that Vicktoriusse is the violin.
